INDUSTRY.co.id - United States - YouTube recently announced it has removed the video with negative content from its platforms in the period October to December 2017. A total of 8.3 million videos have been deleted.

To remove the video, YouTube uses two types of filtering, which uses machine learning algorithms and based on user reports. Approximately 6.7 million videos were deleted after being tagged by the machine, with 76% of them being reported by YouTube users.

In a statement from the official blog, YouTube revealed that the use of machine learning has accelerated the process of removal of content. In addition, the cooperation of recorded users also remained significant.

Some deleted content contains pornographic, spam, violence, and hate speech content.

Users also report almost 95% of videos deleted in the form of piracy or re-upload without authorization permission of copyright.

Additionally, YouTube also introduces a reporting dashboard so users can view the status of the videos that have been flagged and reported. This feature can only be used to report a video requesting YouTube to review and have age restrictions.
