INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta – Baitulmaal Muamalat (BMM) again obtained an Operational Permit Extension as Lembaga Amil Zakat (LAZ) National Scale based on Surat Keputusan (SK) of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia Number 562 of 2026. 

The SK was submitted directly by the Director of Zakat and Waqf Empowerment of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of RI, Prof. Dr. H. Waryono Abdul Ghofur, to the Executive Director of BMM, Tegar Sangga Barkah, at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office of RI, Jakarta, recently.

The momentum of the delivery of SK LAZ marks the sustainability of BMM operations as well as strengthening commitment in managing and distributing (ZISWAF) zakat, infaq, alms and waqf funds in a trustworthy, professional manner, and in accordance with Government regulations.

BMM Executive Director Tegar Sangga Barkah said that the extension of this operational permit is not only institutional legality, but also a reminder that the humanitarian and empowerment tasks of the people must continue to be carried out with integrity and collaboration. 

"Hopefully, the extension of this operational license is a new step to expand benefits, strengthen benefits, and bring more good to the people of Indonesia and the world," said Tegar.

Meanwhile, the supervisor of BMM who is also the President Director of Bank Muamalat Imam Teguh Saptono expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia for his trust in BMM. 

He also thanked all muzaki, donors, partners, volunteers, and the community who continue to be part of the BMM kindness program so far.

With the extension of this operational permit, BMM officially continues its strategic role as a national scale LAZ in bridging donors with beneficiaries in a transparent, targeted, accountable, and professional manner.
