Indonesian Tourism & Culture Packages Spark Czech Interest at the 33rd Holiday World & Region World Fair
INDUSTRY.co.id - Prague, Czech Republic – The Indonesian Embassy in Prague (KBRI Praha) once again participated in the 33rd Holiday World and Region World (Holiday World) to promote Indonesian tourism and culture at the PVA Expo Praha (March 14-16). Holiday World is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Central and Eastern Europe.
The exhibition was attended by around 250 exhibitors from 19 countries, including tourism industry stakeholders such as travel agencies, airlines, and tourism associations. At this year’s Holiday World exhibition, KBRI Praha collaborated with the Indonesian Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agents (ASITA) to present seven tourism and hospitality companies/agencies, as well as three Czech travel agencies: Aquatravel, Redok Travel, and Relax Dive. Over 500 visitors attended the Indonesian Pavilion, with many expressing interest in visiting Indonesia, particularly Bali, Lombok, Komodo Island, and Java.
One of the key achievements was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between ASITA and the Association of Tour Operators and Travel Agents of the Czech Republic (ACCKA) to foster cooperation in the tourism sector. This collaboration is expected to boost Czech tourist visits to Indonesia.
The exhibition also provided KBRI Praha with an opportunity to promote Indonesian culture through performances of Genjring dance, angklung music, and gamelan. These cultural performances received positive feedback from both visitors and participants. Additionally, the embassy took the opportunity to promote Indonesian cuisine and traditional cakes, including dadar gulung, lemper, wajik, wingko babat, and bakwan jagung. The culinary promotion was warmly received by the local community, who showed great interest in learning more about Indonesian cuisine.
