INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi targets to reduce the use of private vehicles on the highway with the operation of Transjabodetabek Premium route Mega City Bekasi-Plaza Senayan.

"Our target is to reduce private vehicles because that makes this vehicle traffic (private), if all riders become one it will reduce the density on the highway," he said in Jakarta, Tuesday (19/09/2017)

However, he continued in this trial is considered not maximal because according to him people have to alternate means of transportation for one departure from home to the point of departure to arrive at the destination.

Therefore, Budi initiated for the bus to be carried from one point to another.

"I think we also have to be more creative, we may also have to do a 'point to point' bus transport from Jababeka to Thamrin, from Lippo Cikarang directly to where, from Kemang Pratama to a certain place," he said.

Budi hopes TransJabodetabek Premium will become an alternative transportation option for the community.

He argues that although there will be LRT but buses remain an alternative to society.

Head of Transportation Agency of Jabodetabek (BPTJ) Bambang Prihartono targets the travel time of TransJabodetabek Premium from Bekasi - Jakarta is not more than 90 minutes and during the trial since September 7, 2017 during rush hour Bekasi - Senayan takes only one hour 20 minutes.

"Our KPI (key performance indicators) 'point to point' should not be more than one hour 30 minutes and during this month's trial during rush hour on Monday the travel time of Bekasi - Senayan takes 1 hour 20 minutes," he said.

Bambang added that with the TransJabodetabek, the government wants to move 50 percent of private vehicle users to public transport.

In line with the Minister of Transportation, Bambang hopes Bekasi residents can optimize the use of this service.

TransJabodetabek Premium is equipped with a number of facilities that can pamper passengers, such as equipped with air conditioning, very comfortable seats equipped with seatbelts, free wifi, and especially these buses will use the Special Transportation Line (JKAU) on the highway.

To enjoy TransJabodetabek Premium bus service, passengers only pay Rp20.000 per passenger for one trip.
