INDUSTRY.co.id - Nusa Dua - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi held a meeting with Japan's Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Takao Makino. During the meeting, the MoC ensured that three infrastructure projects in cooperation with Japan were running smoothly.

"Today I met Mr. Makino and discussed 3 infrastructure projects namely Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Port of Patimban and High Speed ​​Train (HST) Jakarta-Surabaya. Specifically I convey the three projects are running smoothly and can be completed on schedule, "said Minister of Transportation after a bilateral meeting with the Delegation of Japan Nusa Dua, Bali Wednesday (27/09/2017).

Minister of Transportation also explained the progress of the work of the three projects. "The MRT will be completed on schedule and can be operated in early 2019. For the Port of Patimban project, various problems can be overcome and so the construction can be completed as planned. In connection with the project HST Jakarta-Surabaya, we have agreed to complete the study no later than mid-November, "said Minister of Transportation.

In relation to the Jakarta-Surabaya HST project, the minister said there is one important note in the project, which is choosing an alternative to using the existing route.

"There is one major note that Jakarta-Surabaya wants us to achieve in 5.5 hours, meaning that trains can be shifting (alternative mode) from air to train, and second with that speed then in one day there are two traffic back and forth between Jakarta-Surabaya means to increase capacity. Therefore we ask the Japanese to study and Makino agreed on the situation, "explained Minister of Transportation.

Meanwhile, Japan's Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Takao Makino believes the construction of these three projects can go according to the set schedule.
