According to Basuki, one of the economic growth booster in Kaltara is the construction of infrastructure facilities. Bridge of the Moon, is one solution to cut the financing distribution of logistics that have been using sea transportation.
"Of course with the presence of the bridge of the Moon, will have a positive impact on economic growth in Kaltara," said Basuki, Friday (6/2017)
He explained that during this time export and import activities have to go through Tarakan to be spread to Kaltara. "Therefore, there is a proposal from Tarakan to Tanjung Selor first," he said.
For the construction of the Moon Bridge, the proposed length of 56 kilometers with six long bridges will be connected, so that in each of the delta fingers will be built bridge connecting Tarakan and Tanjung selor.
"The government can not fool around in making decisions like this, it should be decided in the best way to not only become empty promises and make people hope very big," he explained.
Related to the budgeting of the Moon Bridge, Basuki said it is impossible to use the Regional Budget (APBD), even to use the State Budget (APBN) only the government still have to think carefully.
Meanwhile, to offer it to private parties, Tarakan does not have an economical commodity so it is quite difficult to be realized.
"It must be the President who decides, but before it is decided, I will support him, so that it can be decided on the basis of proper technical and economic studies," he concluded.
As is known, the construction of the bridge connecting the island of Tarakan and Borneo mainland has a length of 56 kilometers, consisting of 50 kilometers of road length, and 6 bridges that have a length of 1 kilometer each.
