INDUSTRY.co.id - Tarakan- North Kalimantan Provincial Government (Kaltara) estimates that the budget for the construction of a bridge connecting Bulungan Regency to Tarakan Island known as Jembatan Bulan cost Rp8 trillion.

As stated, Head of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) of Kaltara Province, Suheriyatna through his written message, Friday (6/10/2017) that the budget needed is quite large.

He said the construction of the Moon Bridge is planned to enter the Medium Term Development Plan of the State (RPJMN), with the corridor of Kota (Pulau) Tarakan to Tanjung Selor, Bulungan District through Sekatak and Borneo Island.

Then the budget is expected to build this bridge comes from the state budget so all the plans are submitted to the relevant ministries for programming.

However, this bridge construction step is still limited to the discourse because its budgeting has not been included in presidential regulations or presidential instruction. "If the budgeting has not been signed perpres means can not be funded APBN," he said.

The national program in the province of Kaltara that has entered into a new presidential regulation of the planned development of industrial and international ports (KIPI) Tanah Kuning Mangkupadi Bulungan District.

He also asserted, the acceleration of KIPI development has entered into a national strategy project using the state budget. "Actually we want to push again about the construction of the bridge this month but has not programmed the streets," he explained.

According to Suheriyatna, the provincial government of Kaltara wants Tarakan City to have a bridge financed by the state budget. Planning the construction of the bridge of the Moon is very precise.

The existence of this bridge will facilitate ground access from Bulungan District located in the mainland of the island of Borneo with Island (Town) Tarakan. Automatic rotation of the economy of both regions will be very easy.
