INDUSTRY.co.id - Sumenep - President Joko Widodo requested that the runway of Trunojoyo Airport, Madura, East Java which has been extended, extended again to be used by larger aircraft.

The President ordered Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi to allow Trunojoyo Airport to be used by larger planes.
This was conveyed by the President since Madura Island with a population of four million people has economic potential and high mobility traveling to various destinations.
According to the Deputy for Protocol, Press and Media Secretariat of President Bey Machmudin, the President praised the Ministry of Transportation which has extended the runway of Trunojoyo Airport from 1,100 meters to 1,600 meters so that ATR-class commercial airliners have been able to land since last week.
