INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs (Kemenko Maritim) accelerated the development of pioneer shipping lanes in the southern part of Java Island, especially the construction of various supporting infrastructure to create a balance with the northern region.

The acceleration of development aims to support the sea toll program that has been proclaimed by President Joko Widodo. In addition, for the gap of facilities and infrastructure between north and south of Java Island can be reduced.

"As we know, southern Java is part of the underdeveloped Java island, we are inventorying problems that occur in the south of Java, then we find a way out," said Deputy of Infrastructure Coordination Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Ridwan Djamaluddin in a press release at Jakarta, Wednesday (10/11/2017)

Ridwan during Coordination Meeting (Coordination) Development of Pioneer Line in South Java Island in Semarang, Tuesday (10/10), said the ministry will hold a ministerial coordination meeting to discuss further problems that occurred.

The meeting involves the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Public Works-Public Housing.

"This has the potential to become the Central Meeting and Regional Kemaritiman-Bank Indonesia that we have been doing, from the regions we will invite provincial and seven Regent Government pemagab, because there are some priority infrastructure that is expected by the areas in the South of Java Island," he added.

Assistant Deputy Infrastructure Connectivity Logistics System Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Rusli Rahim explained about the difficulty level of development of pioneer path in South Java Island.

According to him, the South Sea has its own complexity, including a high wave level. Therefore, continued Rusli, when viewed from the aspect of voyage it is necessary to have full support from various parties to make it happen.

"The South Line is relatively difficult with the wave level is high enough, so if we from the aspect of shipping there needs to be a full support of both the facilities and infrastructure," he explained.

In Coordination Meeting of Pioneer Line Development in South of Java Island was also present representatives from seven related districts including Sukabumi, Pangandaran, Cilacap, Kulonprogo, Pacitan and Trenggalek.
