INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) focuses on performance in the third year of Joko Widodo-Jusuf Kalla's government by building many airports, especially in archipelago areas such as East Nusa Tenggara to realize connectivity and accessibility in Eastern Indonesia.

In the presentation of "3 Years of Achievement of Jokowi-JK" in Jakarta, Tuesday (17/10/2017) Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi explained the distribution of development through Indonesia Sentris, not Central Java anymore, that is done by increasing connectivity in the forefront, (3T).

"The NTT region is indeed an island and intensively the Ministry of Transportation builds many airports on almost every island, and in Flores alone there are three to four airports so the accessibility in NTT goes well," said Minister of Transportation at the Office of the Presidential Staff.

He exposed a number of infrastructure to be built on the border of NTT, namely Kabir Pantar Airport, Haliwen Airport, DC Saulede Airport, Baranusa Feeder Port and Raijua Crossing Pier.

In addition to airports in NTT, the Ministry of Transportation also builds other connectivity support infrastructure in 3T areas, including the docks in eastern Sumatra and west of Borneo, the ports in northern Sulawesi and Kalimantan as well as airports and cattle ships in Papua.

In relation to sea connectivity, the Minister of Transportation also emphasized the build-up of air and sea tolls that proved to reduce the price disparity by 20 to 40 percent.

"The sea toll currently has 13 trajectories undertaken by state-owned and private companies, which has reduced the price disparity by 20 to 40 percent," he said.

Efforts to build the economy in East Indonesia also conducted by providing trade stimulus following the availability of the ship "trade follow the ship" so as to provide opportunities to increase fish production, tapioca starch, processed seaweed to be distributed to western Indonesia.

Currently, Kemenhub is also building five additional livestock vessels planned for completion in December 2017 with a total budget of Rp295 billion.

In addition to increasing the supply of beef meat to the Java region, livestock boats can excite the livestock business in NTT and NTB because the seller gets certainty his livestock will be absorbed.
