INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train project that is connected to Kertajati-Majalengka Airport can be connected with LRT train, said Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi.

"But the choice is two, whether it's all fast train or connected with LRT," Budi said in his speech "Peeling Polemic Regulation of Online Transport" in Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2017)

Budi said it will be discussed in the near future regarding the financing and auction of contractors.

According to Budi, the distance Bandung-Majalengka is 80 kilometers and when reached by fast train speed 200 kilometers per hour, can be reached by time 30 minutes.

From the final station in Bandung, Tegalluar will also be connected to the transport to the city center, as well as at Halim Station.

"The choice will be plenty, so a 'feeder' for fast rail will be more comprehensive," he said.

He added that the additional project will first be offered to the private sector so as not to burden the state budget.

"The total transportation needs of Indonesia amounted to Rp1, 500 trillion, Indonesia only has Rp500 trillion, the rest is private, if there is a private sector who wants to cook it again," he said.

He cited the Makassar-Parepare rail project that has been glimpsed by investors from South Korea.

"So we only pay the first 40 kilometers of Rp4 trillion, the other 60 kilometers will be financed by them, which will have a good effect on the cash flow of the state budget," he said.

Budi said the integration of Rapid Train to Majalengka because Jakarta-Bandung will be projected to become megapolitan city in 2045.

"So, it takes the main framework of transportation that becomes the accessibility of Soetta to Kertajati," he said.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for the Ministry of Marine Affairs, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, said that there is an opportunity for rapid train construction to be integrated into Kertajati Airport in Majalengka, West Java, which is targeted to be completed by 2018.

Luhut assess the integration to the Kertajati Airport is very important because this project is a transportation work that is needed by the community.

The Jakarta-Bandung railway project is also targeted to integrate with all infrastructure projects on Java island by 2030.
