INDUSTRY.co.id - Magelang- Minister of Public Works and People's Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said the construction of Trans Java toll road in Banten-Surabaya-Probolinggo line will be completed by 2018.
"In Lebaran 2017 still use the emergency road, while for the flow back and forth or Lebaran 2018 toll roads can be used even if not operated," he said in Magelang, Thursday (26/10/2017)
He said this after becoming a speaker in the "Indonesia Leader Forum: Economic Preview 2018" at Plataran Borobudur Resort.
He said the toll roads until 2014 reach 780 kilometers long, while until 2017 has increased 568 kilometers of new toll roads.
"Three years we have added 568 kilometers and by 2019 there will be a new addition with a total of 1,850 kilometers.
He said besides building toll roads, the government is also building roads in the border area.
"The roads on the borders and cross-border posts we have built, the construction is not to be cultivated, but to improve or create new economic areas on the border," he told media crews.
He said the border road in Borneo, the parallel road from Whitewater to North Kalimantan, totaled 1,921 kilometers, has now reached 1,587 kilometers, "Hopefully until 2019 everything has been translucent," he said.
On the Papua border, he said, there are 1,188 kilometers that have been translucent 8,058 kilometers.
The Trans Jaya road is 4,900 kilometers long and now 3,800 kilometers long.
"The road construction in Papua is prioritized because it is to reduce the price overpriced in addition to the expense to facilitate access of health workers, especially in the central highlands, with the opening of the road also accelerates the human movement.
