INDUSTRY.co.id - Manado - Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukita opens various export and import products in Bitung Port, North Sulawesi Province.

"Currently, the central government has opened import export activities in Bitung Port which previously only limited to three products," said Minister of Trade Enggartiasto Lukita during a working visit in Manado on Sunday (29/10/2017)

He said earlier that import export activities in Bitung Port were limited to three products, namely food and beverages, clothing and electronic goods.

Currently, he said again, it is open as in other ports of footwear products, children's toys, cosmetics, traditional medicine and other purposes.

With this imported faucet, it is hoped that it can be utilized well by business actors in North Sulawesi. "It will certainly be able to improve the economy in the regions," said Minister of Trade again.

The Minister of Trade provides an example that footwear products have a major impact on the economy in Indonesia.

He explained that this opportunity should be put to good use, and all regulations must be ready.

"Customs and Quarantine must be prepared, do not let this imported tail tap opened, do not be smuggling," he said.

He explained that his party did not want any smuggling through this opportunity.

North Sulawesi Governor Olly Dondokambey said it was a happy news for North Sulawesi. "Means Port Bitung as a hub port will run well," he said again.

He expects an increase in the flow of goods and services in North Sulawesi, and will automatically improve the welfare of the people of this region.
