INDUSTRY.co.id - Surabaya - Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Susi Pudjiastuti received honorary doctorate Honoris Cuasa (Dr HC) field of marine and fishery development of Indonesia from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya for her contribution in maritime world.
ITS Rector Prof. Joni Hermana awarded the title along with the 57th ITS Anniversary celebration at the local campus on Friday (10/11/2017) and made Susi Dr HC the 3rd ITS after Hermawan Kartajaya and Tri Rismaharini Surabaya Mayor.
Joni revealed the process of granting the honorary title to Susi long enough that started since September 2016 ago. Dr. HC's 3rd since 57 years ago it shows ITS quite selective in giving the title.
"We need people who are able to make development on the nation and he has demonstrated a very good and significant performance," said the Professor of Environmental Engineering.
KKP Minister Susi Pudjiastuti admitted she did not really need the degree, but as a professional and love to the sea and accountability as a state official, this legitimation is essential to continue the CTF's policy to continue.
"Because this is the only one who can ensure the future of our nation," she said.
With this legitimacy, she continued, there are still doubts on the effectiveness of the policy made by the CTF. The award becomes more motivation to continue the policy that has been made.
Asked herself crying to deliver a speech, Susi reveals herself to remember the child and mother of his father. According to him if it works well, then the appreciation will come.
"I feel what has happened in the ocean will be poured out for all that the sea must be maintained and sustainability.I am proud to share, Indonesia won to get the sovereignty of the sea," said Susi (Ant)
