INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industrial Relations, Anton J Supit, said the growth of manufacturing industry that has not been ideal read clearly from the number of employment decline, as reported by the World Bank.

Meanwhile, the development of infrastructure that is expected to open more employment is still bumped two major obstacles namely disruption of technology and labor qualifications.

"The factor of advancement and utilization of technology has an impact on the reduced absorption of manpower in infrastructure development," said Anton in the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) of Industry with the theme 'Building Sustainable Industries' in Jakarta, Monday (27/11/2017).

To that end, Anton stressed the importance of synergy between the industrial world with the world of education. Government support in promoting vocational education is expected not only to improve the quality aspects of human resources, but also to be aligned with industry needs.

"A strong and sustainable industry presumes the presence of competent human resources, capable of developing technology, innovating and possessing qualified creativity," Anton said
