INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - LEN Industri has been awarded as Public Information Disclosure Award 2017 to public institution in Indonesia. The event organized by the Central Information Commission (KIP) was held at the Vice President's Palace, Central Jakarta, Thursday (21/12/2017).

The event was attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla, as well as Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto and Minister KOMINFO Rudiantara.

In the series of ceremonials, Finance and Human Resources Director Priadi Ekatama represents Len Industri whom awarded again  for the category of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

In his report, Chairman of the KIP, Tulus Subardjono said that the activity is part of KIP's accountability report to the President of the Republic of Indonesia in the framework of implementation of public information disclosure policy in Indonesia. Such activities as a pouring of Law RI Number 14 Year 2008.

According to him, the obligation of public institutions is to provide, disclose, and inform all programs and activities to the public, except for information that is excluded. But there are still many different interpretations among the people who need the information.

So KIP is responsible for directing in managing in such a way with mechanisms that make it easier for people to access.

This award is dedicated as a KIP commitment to give appreciation to public institutions that have implemented the mandate of the Law better.

"This is a step to prevent the dispute of information reaching the KIP, as well as a means to arouse awareness of the importance of the information provided," he explained.

Tulus explained, there are two functions of the authority he runs. First, determine the standards that a public institution must have. Secondly, if the access to information to the public does not work, so there is a dispute of information, then the KIP is in charge of solving it.

The conferment is classified into seven categories, namely the category of Higher Education, State-Owned Enterprises, Non Structural Institutions, State Institutions and LPNKs, Provinces, Ministries, and Political Parties.

In his speech, the Vice President of Indonesia, Jusuf Kalla alludes to the principle of democracy in Indonesia from the people, by the people, and to the people. To that end, the Vice President appealed, so that all public institutions currently receiving awards, in order to maintain consistency and be accountable for their accountability to the public.

According to him, in managing the information is needed a precision. Thus, all public institutions are willing to try to improve the existing system. While the information system can be obtained from various media.

"Public institutions should be able to provide objective information to the community, then the community provides feedback on feedback and criticism for the progress of this nation," he said.
