INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Director General of Railways, Zulfikri, conducted a final trial in order to ensure the readiness and reliability of the facilities, infrastructure of Soekarno Hatta Airport railway.

Trial carried out by the Director General of Railways, accompanied by the Directorate General of Railways, representative of the Directorate of Traffic and Railways, PT. Railink, Railway Engineering Center of Jakarta and Banten including all test team from Railway Testing Center.

This trial was carried out as a follow-up of the instruction of the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, considering that the Soekarno Hatta Airport railway was originally planned to operate in early December 2017.

Several coordination meetings have been held together with relevant elements regarding the preparation of the airport railway operation and it is agreed that the Soekarno Hatta Airport rail will be fully operational on 2nd January 2018. For that reason, today the final test will be conducted before full operation.

"This is a final test, we make sure all facilities, infrastructure and human resources are ready, reliable" said Zulfikri through his written statement in Jakarta (25/12/2017).

He added, some time ago also been tested against facilities, infrastructure and facilities and operations as well as its human resources. Most certificates of test results have been issued, the rest will be completed before being fully operational.

Since early December 2017, Airport railway facilities have been run in trials without carrying passengers, while evaluating and following up on the recommendations of the test results. And on December 24-25, 2017, after all the findings of the results of the test results have been met, it has been fully implemented as many as 42 KAs per day, as a final trial with focus on travel schedule adjustments and timeliness.

The final test result that has been witnessed by all parties is the fulfillment of all the required criteria. Starting on December 26, 2017 tomorrow, PT. Railink will do a soft launching with a promo rate of Rp.30.000, - per passenger.

The operation of the Soekarno Hatta Airport Railway becomes a realization of one of the National Strategic Projects.
