INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - After the trial period since December 26 last, Soekarno-Hatta airport railway was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train Station, Tangerang, Banten, Tuesday (2/1/2018).

Departing from Terminal 3 of Soekarno Hatta Airport, President Jokowi with Minister of Transportation Wiranto, Minister of Transportation Budi K. Sumadi, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, SOE Minister Rini Soemarno, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, National Police Chief Gen. Tito Karnavian and Banten Wahidin Governor using APMS (Automated People Mover System) or known as the Skytrain.

According to Len Industri President Director Zaky Gamal Yasin, the President and entourage used Skytrain to Integrated Building Terminal and continued using the Airport train to Sudirman Baru station.

"Skytrain run slowly with a speed of approximately 10 kilometers per hour because President Jokowi monitoring the condition of trains, rail and infrastructure Soekarno Hatta Airport he said," said Zaky.

The Skytrain began operations on September 17, 2017 using 1 trainset consisting of 2 trains with a total capacity of 176 persons for passengers or airport visitors from Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and integrated building terminal. It is now in use 3 trainset consisting of 6 trains with a capacity of 528 people.

Procurement of Skytrain trainset and its technology are prepared by PT. Len Railways System (LRS) a subsidiary of PT Len Industri (Persero) and Woojin from South Korea with an investment value of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) amounting to Rp530 billion.

The Skytrain is equipped with automated guideway transit system (AGT) with rubber tires equipped with self-propelled or self-propelled steering wheel. Skytrain operating speed can reach 60 km / hour.

"PT Len Industri (Persero) is proud to be able to synergize with other SOEs, namely PT Angkasa Pura 2 (Persero) in presenting the Skytrain as a pilot project for APMS implementation in other airports in Indonesia," he said.

For Airport Train, PT Len Railway Systems works on its signals starting from Batu Ceper Station of Soekarno-Hatta Airport. "We get this job contract since February 2016 to finish the Batu Ceper Station Station of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Station," said Zaky.
