INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal Yuyu Sutisna confirmed, plan to buy fighter generation 4.5, Sukhoi-35 from the Russian Government is still ongoing.

KSAU said it was responding to pressure information from the US government for Indonesia not to buy aircraft from Russia when US Defense Secretary James Norman Mattis visited Indonesia.

"I did not hear that (I suspect the pressure from the US), I got the information from the media, but the contract will run," he said.

The former Commander of the Indonesian Air Force Operations Command (Pangkoopsau) I hope the signing of the Sukhoi-35 purchase contract will take place in February 2018.

"I hope that by the end of February 2018, the contract will be signed, and the contract will be signed next year," he said.
