"The financing scheme through the Micro Endowments Bank is non-collateral financing with a maximum value of Rp 3 million and a profit-sharing margin of 3%," said Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Financial Services Authority (OJK) Wimboh Santoso in Surabaya, on Sunday (11/3/2018).
In addition, he said, in the scheme financing of Micro Wakaf Bank also provided training and mentoring and financing patterns made per group or joint responsibility.
However, he added, this institution is not allowed to take savings from the community because it has the focus of community empowerment through financing accompanied by business assistance. This institution also has status as a Sharia Micro Finance Institution licensed and supervised by OJK. Through this program, OJK expects Micro Wakaf Bank to be the accelerator of Syariah financial development.
"OJK will continue to push the Micro Wakaf Bank program to other pesantrens to be multiplied and expanded according to the President's direction," said Wimboh.
