"Surely the hope of the local community can take advantage of the existence of the airport, given that there are currently airlines that serve the route Miangas to Manado," he said.
Community figures of Miangas Hibor said the existence of the airport directly can be felt by the local community, because the trade transaction becomes more.
"Before there was an airport, the local people found it difficult to get basic needs," he said.

The area of Miangas Island is 6.7 square kilometers with a population of only 213 families and 802 inhabitants.
