INDUSTRY.co.id - Wonosari - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi socialize a number of development achievements that have been and will be done by the government of President Joko Widodo to the middle to lower class.

"The purpose of this socialization is in addition to providing understanding to the community about the implementation of development, also to get feedback from the community," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya to the press in Wonosari, Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta, Saturday (12/08/2017)

The socialization was conducted in the ward of the Regent Office of Gunungkidul, which was also attended by Vice Regent Gunungkidul Immawan Wahyudi, officials and community leaders of eastern Indonesia, and hundreds of local people.

The Minister of Transportation said that the Government has been doing the development of various fields in all regions in Indonesia, and the government wants what has been done for the advancement of the nation known to the public at large.

"For that, we also invite officials from Papua and North Sulawesi to recount the development that has been achieved and possibly also the shortcomings," said Budi.

He cited the program One Price of Fuel Oil (BBM).

In the socialization was invited officials from the District Ilaga, Puncak, Papua, to tell the progress of the program that proclaimed by President Jokowi.

Similarly, there is still a need for airport development in the region, which currently has an airport with a runway length of only 600 meters with a location altitude of 2,500 meters above sea level.

"In fact, air transport has an important meaning in Papua, so the airport needs to be developed continuously," he said.

In the socialization, said Minister of Transportation, the public can also get a direct exposure of village funds of Rp1 billion per village, which by some villages responded positively. However, there are also a negative response.

According to the plan, said Minister of Transportation, such socialization will gradually be carried out in all provinces with the explanation by a number of ministers.

"I happen to be the first minister to get the duty from President Jokowi to start the socialization of the progress of development for the nation," he said.
