INDUSTRY.co.id - Salatiga- Minister of Public Works and People Housing Basuki Hadimuljono said Semarang-Solo toll road section III Bawen-Salatiga section will be inaugurated by the government at the end of this August.
"There's been a field visit yesterday (for the feasibility test), if it is feasible we plan 28 August 2017 will be officially opened for the community," he said on the sidelines of the Toll Road Festival at the Salatiga toll gate on Sunday (08/13/2017)
Currently, the joint team of Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Ministry of Transportation, Police and teams from Central Java Provincial Government are conducting a feasibility test of this toll road.
Feasibility test is one of the procedures that must be done before the toll road is operated officially by the government.
After the feasibility test is completed, the joint team will provide recommendations to PT Trans Marga Jateng to be followed up if there is to be completed or repaired.
The construction of the 17.6-kilometer Bawen-Salatiga toll road has been completed 100 percent.
The 72.64 Km Semarang-Solo toll road managed by PT Trans Marga Jateng (TMJ), a business group of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, is one of the priority scale of the toll road development by the government and has been in accordance with the integrated spatial arrangement Central Java Provincial Government is expected to accelerate the development of this region.
Semarang-Solo toll road connecting Kota Semarang and Solo has significance for the economic pulse in the crossed areas namely, Semarang, Salatiga, Boyolali, Sukoharjo and Solo.
Semarang-Solo toll road as part of the Trans Java that passes in the coastal line also helps smooth the flow back and forth back Lebaran every year.
