INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The government has prioritized several connectivity infrastructures, including 864 km of roads in various areas, especially in border areas to be undertaken by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) in 2018.

PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in a press conference of the RAPBN 2018 and Financial Note in Jakarta, Wednesday night (16/8/2017) said his ministry is indeed planned to be one of the most obese recipients in 2018 of Rp106.9 trillion, but most or 70.6 Percent will be spent on capital goods.

"Of the Rp106.9 trillion budget allocated to connectivity Rp41 trillion to build national road 46 thousand kilometers, then 864 kilometers of new road.Then toll road construction that the government burden of 25 km," said Basuki.

Basuki said of the 864 kilometers of the new road, most are located in border areas in Kalimantan and Papua (Trans Papua Project).

Basuki specifies, in addition to these connectivity, other projects are 8,037 meters of bridge construction, 588 meters of tunnel and road construction, and bridge maintenance 497,515 meters.

In addition to road projects, he explained that the PUPR Ministry will also develop water resources infrastructure projects, among them, 47 dams, 106 km flood control facilities and infrastructure, 11 kilometers of coastal security facilities and infrastructure, 54 thousand hectares of new irrigation networks, 54 embungs, 16 lava control facilities and several other projects.

Then, in the karta sector, PUPR prioritizes SPAM development with a capacity of 9372 liters per second, 667 hectares of rural residential infrastructure handling, 1990 hectares of urban settlement infrastructure, and several other projects.

While in the housing sector, the government will build 6238 units of flats, 180 thousand units of self-help houses 15,400 units of housing PSU, and five thousand units of special houses.

"We are supervised through RAPBN 2018 namely the development of land transportation, roads and bridges, and water, and housing," he said.

The development of the infrastructure is expected to accelerate the pace of economic growth and also encourage development targets, such as the decline in the level of economic inequality.

In the RAPBN 2018, the government targets economic growth of 5.4 percent through sustained public consumption support, increased investment and improved export and import performance.

The estimate is based on projected household consumption and exports, each of which could reach 5.1 percent, government consumption 3.8 percent, gross fixed capital formation 6.3 percent and imports 4.5 percent.

Other macroeconomic indicators in the RAPBN 2018 were the 3.5 percent inflation rate, the exchange rate of Rp13,500 per US dollar, the 3 month SPN rate of 5.3 percent, the average Indonesian crude oil price (ICP) of 48 US dollars per barrel, Oil lifting of 800,000 barrels per day, and gas lifting of 1.2 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.
