INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, the Attorney General's Office designated three suspects in the case of alleged corruption in Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) governance in Badan Gizi Nasional (BGN) period 2025-2026.

The three suspects are D.A. as the Head of BGN for the period of August 2024 to June 2, 2026, S.S. as the Deputy Head of BGN for Nutrition Fulfillment Operations for the period of September 2025 to June 2, 2026, and L.P. as the Deputy Head of BGN for Organizational Development and Institutional Support for the period of October 2024 to June 2, 2026.

The Director of Investigation of the Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) said that the determination of the suspect was carried out after the investigator examined a number of witnesses and found at least two sufficient evidence.

"Based on the results of the investigation and the evidence obtained, the investigative team has designated you as a suspect in the case of suspected corruption in the governance of the Free Nutritious Meal Program at the National Nutrition Agency in 2025 to 2026," the Director of Investigation said in a press conference on Wednesday (3/6).

Investigators revealed that the MBG program, which was started by the government on January 6, 2025, is a national priority program with the aim of increasing the fulfillment of the nutritional adequacy rate of school children. In 2025, the program received a budget allocation of Rp85.27 trillion, while in 2026 it increased to Rp268 trillion sourced from APBN.

In the investigation, the Attorney General's Office found allegations of irregularities in the appointment of Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) partner foundations. The foundationswere allegedly selected through a pre-arranged process and affiliated with the suspects.

According to investigators, a number of foundations that should not meet the requirements are still designated as partners through the manipulation of the verification process on the BGN partnership portal. The foundation then receives incentives worth billions of rupiah every day.

In addition, the suspects are suspected of intervening in the procurement process of goods and services so that the planning needs are not in accordance with real conditions in the field. Investigators also found indications of price inflating in a number of procurement projects.

Some of the procurements in the spotlight include the procurement of 21,801 units of electric motors worth around Rp1 trillion, 32,000 pairs of shoes, more than 31,000 units of tablets, and 5,400 units of 75-inch televisions. All procurements are allegedly not in accordance with the provisions and contain price mark up elements.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state is suspected to have suffered financial losses in amounts that are still being calculated by investigators with state auditors.

The three suspects were charged with the article of corruption as stipulated in Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption and related provisions in KUHP. Investigators have also detained the three for the next 20 days at the Salemba Detention House of the Attorney General's Branch.
