INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta — The reliability of a mining company is not only measured by the volume of work completed, but also by the discipline of maintaining its safety and contribution to the surrounding community. Strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and targeted Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are now a reflection of the quality of governance as well as corporate moral responsibility.
Thanks to the success in managing safety and sustainability in its area of operation, PT Cipta Kridatama won the Gold Winner in the Mining Operation Safety category at Indonesia Mining Services Award (IMSA) 2026 organized by the Indonesian Mining Services Association (ASPINDO) in Bali, recently. In a different momentum, the PT ABM Investama Tbk (ABMM) subsidiary also took home the TOP CSR Awards 2026 Star 3 from TOPBusiness Magazine for the work of social responsibility programs that are considered to have a real impact on the community.
The two awards mark that the competitiveness of CK is not only supported by operational productivity, but also governance discipline, safety culture, and sustainability of social programs. In the mining services sector, this combination is even more important when business actors are required to maintain the reliability of operations while presenting measurable benefits around the work area.
In the IMSA 2026 assessment, the strength of CK is reflected in measurable safety achievements. Throughout 2025, CK posted 42,197,090 working hours, maintained zero fatality for three consecutive years since 2023, and recorded a frequency rate that remained below the industry threshold. Four CK operational sites in Sumatra and Kalimantan also received Zero Accident awards in 2025, confirming that safety disciplines are carried out consistently in the field.
CK's victory in IMSA 2026 was also supported by safety innovations in the field, one of which was through thefatigue-triggered auto-braking system developed with its partners. This technology is capable of detecting operator fatigue and triggering automatic braking, with the ability to stop a loaded truck from a speed of 50 km per hour within a distance of less than 30 meters. In terms of SDM, CK also strengthens safety through the Advance Development Operator Program (ADOP) program, Training Need Analysis, and a 99% -100% competency certification level for supervisors and technical personnel.
CK carries out operational standards supported by ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications. The integrated K3LH structure and continuous evaluation are the foundations that make safety a daily practice, not just a slogan.
“We believe that business growth is only meaningful if it is built on a foundation of safe and responsible safety. There is no compromise in terms of operating safety because it becomes the basic prerequisite of every business activity. Every person who works in the mining area must return safely to his family," explained Director of PT Cipta Kridatama, Roni Setyawan.
The IMSA 2026 award also reflects long-term investment in strengthening competence, innovation, safety technology and strengthening the implementation of good mining practices in all CK operations in Sumatra and Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, the TOP CSR Awards 2026 Star 3 award was achieved because the company was considered consistent in building social programs that were relevant to the needs of the community. CK Together with its partners in South Kalimantan developed the Biotron or Biochar Three in One program, an innovation in making organic fertilizers designed to improve soil quality, increase agricultural productivity, and reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers.
The implementation of Biotron has been carried out in Tanah Bumbu Regency and the operational area of Borneo Indobara, in collaboration with the Binuang Agricultural Training Center and the Kusan Hulu Agricultural Extension Center. Previously, the initiative also received national appreciation through the 2025 Sustainable Village Development Award from the Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions.
“Cipta Kridatama will continue to expand the scale of programs needed by the community through collaboration with various parties in our area of work operations. What we do shows that mining activities, high safety standards, and community empowerment can go hand in hand when designed with consistent governance and long-term benefit orientation," continued Roni.
The two awards achieved in 2026 are in line with the sustainability direction of the ABMM Group which places best operations and services, people, health and safety, environmental impact and climate change, and society as the main pillars of business strategy.
"Recognition of the performance of HSE and CSR carried out by the ABMM Group is not the finish line, but a reminder that public trust is built through testable results, safe operations, strong governance, and the contribution felt by the community," Roni concluded.
