INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta — Cut Meutia Mosque Foundation Menteng held a Palestinian Education Study activity entitled "Towards World Peace: Palestinian Independence as a Mandate of Humanity and International Justice" on Friday (5/6/2026) at Cut Meutia Mosque, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
This activity presented a number of speakers, including Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Abdalfatah A.K. Alsattari and KH Dr. Muhammad Zaitun Rasmin, Lc., MA
In the event, the speakers discussed the importance of humanitarian solidarity and support for Palestinian independence as part of the struggle to uphold international justice and world peace.
Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfatah A.K. Alsattari, told that he witnessed the Israeli occupation of Gaza when he was five years old. He and his family were forced to hide under a tree for ten days and only survive on a loaf of bread. In a very small age, he also witnessed the killing of children, women, and various forms of atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
"The steadfastness of the Palestinian people is born of faith in Allah SWT. We are confident that with the unity, patience and help of Allah SWT, Palestine will gain independence and a better future. We also hope that the support and prayers of the Indonesian people continue to flow for the struggle of the Palestinian people," said Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfatah A.K. Alsattari.
Meanwhile, KH Dr. Muhammad Zaitun Rasmin, Lc., M.A. asserted that defending Palestine is not only a religious obligation, but also a humanitarian call. He said that Muslims must not get tired of fighting for the Palestinian issue, because the Palestinian people are brothers who are experiencing injustice.
“Never feel that our voices are useless or that people are tired of hearing about Palestine. As long as the occupation and massacre are still ongoing, the struggle and support for Palestine must continue to be voiced," said KH Dr. Muhammad Zaitun Rasmin, Lc., MA
In the question and answer session, one of the participants asked if there was anything wrong in the struggle of the people for Palestine because until now Palestine has not been independent. Participants also questioned whether the Board of Peace (BoP) really benefits the Palestinian people.
In response to this, the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdalfatah A.K. Alsattari, asserted that Palestinian independence is not dependent on the will of humans or opponents, but entirely on the will of Allah SWT. He reminded that the prophets had also been tested to feel the severity of the trial and asked when God's help came, but still believed that His help would surely come.
Regarding the Board of Peace (BoP), he said that the most important thing is that aid for Palestine can really enter and benefit the Palestinian people.
The committee hopes that this activity can be a means of education as well as strengthening public awareness of the struggle of the Palestinian people and global humanitarian issues.
