The owner of Yuli Muhawati Muhawati revealed that his efforts began at the request of his brother in Amsterdam, Holland to make a special bag. In the early days of business, the products on market were still bags, so they were repurchased. However, after finding the appropriate tailor, Yuli began producing herself a fiber bag of nature like a pandan, a muzzle, gonny, cane, to banana overlay.
"At first I made a place or a bag of muskets based on brother's request in Amsterdam. It was a product that was still being sold as a bag, so, until I finally found a tailor and started producing myself using different natural fibers such as pandan, muzzle, gonny, rattan, and plantations that were constantly developed until now.
Over time, Mprakfur evolved by presenting products that combine the fabric of natural fibers and wastra fabric of Indonesia, such as batics and lurics. A souvenir of coin purse and cosmetic wallet became the most demanding product because it was affordable and had a unique design.
On the way to develop business, Yuli knew LinkUMKM through the House of BUMN BRI. The funding and facilities that were involved opened up a chance for Mprakfuwa to fill the store by the Juwana Bang contributing to the increase in omzet.
Today, Mprakfuu products are sold through the gallery itself, resellers in stores by the Juwana Bang and the Airport General Ahmad Yani, the marketplace, and various exhibits, among BRILianprenur 2022 and Inacraft 2024. The marketing range includes Rally, Jakarta, Medan, to Papua, and has even penetrated the export market to Amsterdam in 2017 and Brunei Darussalam in 2020. To support the operation of the business, Mlab also utilizes BRI services like QRIS, mobile banking, and savings.
Until April 2026, 16.46 million people of UMKM have used LinkUMKM to expand market access, improve business capacity, and push UMKM acceleration up the classroom. The platform presents six major features, the UMKM Smart, the BUMN House, UMKM Media, Community, Digital Etalase, and Register Nomor Induk Berusaha (NIB) services.
On a separate occasion, the Corporation's Secretary BRI Dhanny revealed that Mprakfuwa's journey shows how creativity in processing natural fiber materials can be an opportunity of economic value. According to him, the ability to present a unique and suitable product to market needs becomes one of the keys to UMKM to continue to grow.
"Mapatarfuk proves that the utilization of natural fibers mixed with the Indonesian wastra could produce unique and valuable products. The ability to maintain the quality of the product as well as utilize the opportunities of effort to be a critical factor in increasing rival power and strengthening UMKM business sustainability. BRI will continue to present various programs that will help UMKM's offenders improve the capacity of effort, strengthen the quality of the product, as well as expand the opportunities for business development," pick up Dhanny.
