INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta – Amid the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and digital transformation that is changing the global industrial landscape, the need for talents who are able to combine technology and business capabilities is increasing. This condition makes technopreneurs or technology-based entrepreneurs one of the most needed and promising professions in the digital economy era.
Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), known as the Digital Business Campus, presents Technopreneurship courses in the Master of Informatics (S2) Program. This course is designed to equip students with the ability to build businesses based on sustainable technological innovation and global competitiveness.
Through Technopreneurship learning, students not only learn the technical aspects of technology development, but are also equipped with the skills to identify digital business opportunities, develop business models, conduct market analysis, build marketing strategies, and manage the growth of technology-based companies.
In addition, students also gain an understanding of business feasibility studies, industry competition analysis, startup financial management, effective team building, and (HKI) intellectual property rights protection. All these competencies are important foundations for students who want to establish startups and develop digital technology-based businesses.
Head of S2 Informatics Study Program UNM, Prof. Ris. Dr. Agus Subekti, emphasized that technopreneurship skills are now a strategic competence that must be possessed by university graduates.
“The development of technology has opened up enormous opportunities for the younger generation to become solution creators as well as job creators. Through Technopreneurship learning, students not only learn to develop technology, but also understand how to turn innovations into products, services, and startups that have economic value and benefit the community," he explained in a release received on Thursday (6/18).
According to him, the current paradigm of the world of work has undergone significant changes. Graduates are no longer only prepared to become job seekers, but also creators of job opportunities through innovation and technology-based entrepreneurship.
"The future of the digital economy requires more startup founders, innovators, and technopreneurs who are able to present solutions to various societal problems. Therefore, we encourage students to have an innovative mindset and dare to build a technology-based business from an early age," he added.
With the provision of these competencies, he added, UNM Master of Informatics graduates have extensive career opportunities, ranging from Startup Founder, Technopreneur, Product Manager, Innovation Manager, Digital Business Consultant, to various strategic professions in the technology sector and the digital economy.
"Through a curriculum that integrates technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Nusa Mandiri University as a Digital Business Campus continues to strengthen its commitment to produce graduates who not only excel academically, but are also able to create innovations, build startups, and contribute to the growth of Indonesia's digital economy at the national and global levels," he explained.
