Indonesian Embassy in Caracas Showcases Culture and Scholarship Opportunities to Venezuelan Students

INDUSTRY.co.id - Caracas, Venezuela – In an effort to introduce Indonesian culture and disseminate information about the Developing Countries Partnership (KNB) scholarship, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas delivered a presentation on Indonesia and the KNB Scholarship for the 2025 Fiscal Year to approximately 30 students of Simón Bolívar University (USB) in Caracas, Venezuela, on March 13.

The visit commenced with a meeting between the Chargé d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas and the Rector of USB, Jorge Stephany, as well as the Director of Cooperation and International Relations at USB, Ursula Ehrmann. The discussion focused on potential collaborations in the social, cultural, and educational sectors. "The Indonesian Embassy in Caracas and USB are keen to initiate inter-university cooperation. This could provide valuable experiences for students in both Indonesia and Venezuela," stated the Chargé d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas.

The presentation also included a short video showcasing Indonesia, highlighting its geography and cultural diversity. During the session, the Chargé d'Affaires emphasized Indonesia’s longstanding friendship and cooperation with Venezuela, as well as the richness and diversity of its culture, ethnic groups, culinary traditions, and tourist destinations. Additionally, details of the KNB Scholarship were presented, covering academic programs and learning opportunities, the list of available universities and study programs, scholarship benefits, as well as the application process and timeline.

During the interactive session with USB students, the Chargé d'Affaires also extended an invitation to students and academics to participate in cultural and language activities initiated by the Indonesian Embassy in Caracas, such as Indonesian language classes and batik workshops.
