"The increase in the number of passengers occurred at Juanda Airport, Surabaya at 64.81 percent," said Head of BPS, Suhariyanto in Jakarta, Monday (4/9/2017).

Meanwhile, the number of domestic air transport passengers in the period from January to July 2017 reached 50.5 million people. While international air transport passengers as much as 1.5 million people.

"Jun was the largest domestic air passenger carrier recorded at Soekarno-Hatta airport reaching 12.4 million people, and for international passengers the biggest increase occurred at Hasanuddin Airport, Makasar of 75.68 percent," said Suhariyanto.

On the other hand, the number of domestic sea transport passengers in July 2017 recorded 1.8 million people. "The increase in the number of sea transport passengers occurred at the ports of Tanjung Perak, Belawan, Balikpapan and Makassar each rose 512.57 percent, 184.13 percent, 87.13 percent and 33.51 percent," he added.

Meanwhile, the number of train passengers in Java and Sumatera in July 2017 was 34.3 million people. Of these, most of them are Jabodetabek passengers who are commuter line commuter passengers totaling 27 million people.

Furthermore, Suhariyanto explained, cumulatively, the number of train passengers during January-July 2017 reached 220 million people. "The increase in the number of passengers occurs in all areas Jabodetabek, Java non-Jabodetabek and Sumatra," he concluded.
