INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The government sets 23 national strategic projects in the field of railways. Of the 23 projects, 11 are targeted to operate by 2019 at the latest.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemhub), Popik Montanasyah, explained that from the sources of funding, the 15 funding projects from the APBN, five projects from the government and business entities (KPBU), and three other projects sourced from private financing.

Here is a list of 11 railway projects targeted to operate by 2019:

1. The construction of the Prabumulih-Kertapati double lane in South Sumatra along 85 km will be operational in 2017.

2. The construction of railway line of Makassar-Parepare phase 1 in South Sulawesi with a length of 44 km and operates in 2018.

3. The construction of the cross-lane of Bandar Tinggi-Kuala Tanjung Highway in North Sumatra as long as 21.5 km will be operational in 2018.

4. The construction of MRT phase 1 (Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI) along the 15.7 km and will be operational in 2018.

5. The development of the railway line to Soekarno Hatta Airport which will operate in early 2018.

6. The 5.8 km LRT DKI Jakarta (Kelapa Gading-Velodrom) development will be operational in 2018.

7. South Sumatra LRT development along 23 km will be operational in 2018.

8. The construction of the railway line to Adi Sumarmo Airport, Solo 13.5 km will be operational in 2018.

9. The construction of the double lane across the southern part of Java Island consists of 5 projects with a total of 297 km railway lines operating in 2019.

10. The construction of the railway line of Rantauprapat-Kota Pinang in North Sumatra along 33 km will be operational in 2019.

11. The Jabodebek LRT construction of 43.3 km will be operational by 2019.
