INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- A total of 59,820 people affected by the eruption of Mount Agung in Bali Province, fled to various locations considered safe.

"Up to now nearly 60 thousand people are displaced," said Director General of Social Protection and Social Security Ministry Harry Hikmat who contacted from Jakarta, Monday (25/09/2017)

Harry explained that the displaced residents are scattered in several points, among others, in Klungkung regency, the number of refugees is 14,808 people spread in 114 refugee points with the biggest refuge point in GOR Sueca Pura Gel Gel as many as 3789 people.

In Kabupaten Karangasem, the number of refugees is 30,012 people spread in six districts. In Bangli district, the displaced residents reached 7,047 people spread in 23 refugee points.

In addition, as many as 6,486 residents Buleleng residents to evacuate to 11 points of refuge spread across the area and the city of Denpasar recorded as many as 1469 people in 15 points of refugees.

"Meanwhile, from Tabanan and Badung regencies are in data collection," added Harry Hikmat.

He also mentioned the efforts made by the Ministry of Social Affairs in handling emergency eruption of Mount Agung, among others, coordinate with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Bali Provincial Government and local social services.
