INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - President Joko Widodo leads a limited meeting in anticipation of increased volcanic activity, especially Gunung Agung in Bali and reports on the development of Sinabung Mountain in North Sumatra.
In a meeting held at the Presidential Office of Jakarta, Thursday (28/09/2017) the President did not give introduction at length.
The former governor of DKI Jakarta opened the meeting and immediately asked the Coordinating Minister for PMK Puan Maharani to present his report.
"I invite Mrs. Menko to convey," he said.
The meeting itself was attended by a number of officials and related ministers.
In recent times there has been an increase in activity of a number of volcanoes in the country.
A total of 9,421 residents of Karangasem, Klungkung, and Buleleng districts have been displaced since the status of Mount Agung (3142 mdpl) in Bali was upgraded to the alert level early last week.
While in North Sumatra, until the beginning of this week Mount Sinabung still churned and issued a hot cloud. (Ant)
