INDUSTRY.co.id - Bandung - Infrastructure development gets a lot of attention Jokowi-JK Government. In the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2015-2019 has been set a number of infrastructure development goals 2019.

These targets include the development of national roads of 45,592 km (from 38,570 km at the baseline of 2014), the construction of new roads (cumulative 5 years) along the 2,650 km (from 1202 km), the development of toll roads (cumulative 5 years) along 1,000 km of 807 km), railway length 8,692 km (from 5,434 km), 450 ports (from 278), and 252 airports (from 237).

Supply Chain Indonesia (SCI) appreciates the plans and success of the Jokowi-JK government to realize its infrastructure development. The result of the development of Indonesia's infrastructure condition is reflected in the report "The Global Competitiveness Index 2017-2018" compiled by the World Economic Forum.

"Infrastructure is one of the pillars of the twelve pillars assessed. From the assessment of 137 economies, Indonesia's infrastructure is ranked 52 with 4.5. He added that this shows an increase in Indonesia's infrastructure by 8 ranks and a value increase of 0.7. The overall quality of Indonesia's infrastructure has increased from 3.8 (2016-2017) to 4.1 (in 2017-2018) or from 80 to 68.

"Improving the quality of infrastructure occurs in all infrastructure qualities, both roads (from 3.9 to 4.1), trains (from 3.8 to 4.2), ports (from 3.9 to 4.0) , and the airport (from 4.5 to 4.8), "he explained.
