INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Pelni) was awarded at the Asean Risk Awarding 2017 for Winner category.

"The award was received by VP of Corporate Planning Andi Samsul Hadi representing the Board of Directors of PT Pelni Thursday (7/12) night in Yogyakarta," said Pelni Didik Dwi Prasetio Corporate Secretary on the sidelines of Media Gathering Pelni 2017 in Malang on Friday (8/12/2017)

He said the award is the result of the implementation of risk management that has been pioneered and implemented intensively and continuously in the company.

"We together with 30 state-owned and private companies follow this event at the Asean country level," said Didik.

Awarding is organized by the Enterprise Risk Management Academy based in Singapore with members of Risk Management professionals in over 100 countries.

It is said, Pelni assessed independent panelists from various countries for a month more since early November 2017.

"The hard work of sea transportation service company that operates 83 ships is fruitful," said Didik.

Pelni was awarded in four nominations: Public Risk, Public Initiative, Risk Innovation and Risk Technology.

This award, Didik said, proved that the transformation in Pelni has improved internally and received attention and received awards from international institutions.

This award, Didik added, also provides an internal spirit and encourages Pelni not to stop and continue to innovate and improve the internal to the realization of the vision of "Becoming the Customer's Choice Preferred Shipping Company." Participants of the event were 36 companies from 10 countries in Southeast Asia and the "Public Risk" award was given to organizations that found initiatives in risk management as well as effective in managing risks faced by the public.

Public Risk award winner is PT Pelni with nominees Thai Lion Air, BPJS Health, SMF and BTN.
