INDUSTRY.co.id - JAKARTA , PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Persero), or Jamkrindo, has received the Cybersecurity Award in the Financial Services category at The Indonesia Technology Excellence Awards 2026, organized by international media outlet Asian Business Review.
The award recognizes Jamkrindo’s cybersecurity transformation in strengthening system and data protection, enhancing operational resilience, and maintaining the reliability of the company’s digital services.
Jamkrindo’s cybersecurity transformation is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen information technology governance and ensure business continuity amid increasingly complex digital risks. Cybersecurity is positioned as a strategic component of risk management and business continuity, rather than merely a technical information technology function.
The strengthening of cybersecurity capabilities has been carried out gradually through an integrated approach covering people, process, and technology. This approach is designed to build an adaptive security system, enhance organizational readiness, and maintain the reliability of the company’s digital services.
Jamkrindo Director of Operations and Network Sigit Tjahjo Prabowo said the award reflects the company’s commitment to developing an adaptive cybersecurity system capable of responding to evolving threats while delivering tangible value to business operations.
“The transformation of our information technology governance has provided momentum for Jamkrindo to build stronger digital resilience. We position cybersecurity as an integral part of our business strategy by strengthening technology, processes, and human resource capabilities. Our objective is to ensure that our services remain secure and reliable while maintaining the trust of our stakeholders,” said Sigit.
As part of the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem and Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) Holding, Jamkrindo has developed its cybersecurity transformation through four stages.
During 2021–2022, the company established its cybersecurity foundation. The evaluation stage was carried out in 2022–2023 to assess and strengthen the capabilities that had been developed. In 2023–2024, Jamkrindo advanced automation to improve the effectiveness of its security measures.
From 2024 to 2029, the company is focusing on continuous improvement to ensure that its security systems remain adaptive to changing risks and technological developments.
The transformation is supported by three key pillars.
First, the Cyber Strategy Framework, based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) framework, serves as the foundation for cybersecurity governance and risk management.
Second, the Cybersecurity Intelligent Platform, supported by a Zero Trust architecture, strengthens access controls and system protection.
Third, AI Smarter Security integrates artificial intelligence (AI) to support the detection and analysis of potential cyber threats.
These initiatives are implemented through an integrated approach that focuses on organizational readiness, stronger security processes, and the development of Jamkrindo’s human capital capabilities.
The company also continues to strengthen information security awareness across all levels of the organization by positioning cybersecurity as a shared responsibility.
The synergy between technology, business processes, and human resources serves as a foundation for building a secure, resilient, and sustainable digital ecosystem.
Improved Cybersecurity Performance
The impact of Jamkrindo’s transformation is reflected in several cybersecurity performance indicators.
The company recorded a 90% year-on-year reduction in financial losses resulting from cyberattacks.
Meanwhile, Mean Time to Respond (MTTR) was reduced by 87.5%, with the response time reaching one hour. The time required to identify and recover data was also reduced by 83.3%, from 12 hours to two hours.
From a governance perspective, the company’s compliance level increased to 95%, representing a 20% improvement compared with the previous period.
Jamkrindo also recorded a 100% reduction in undetected incidents, based on the measurement indicators used by the company.
These achievements demonstrate Jamkrindo’s strengthened capabilities in detecting threats, accelerating incident response, and restoring services when disruptions occur.
The enhancement of cybersecurity also contributes to the company’s operational resilience, particularly in protecting data, maintaining the availability of digital services, and minimizing potential disruptions to business processes.
This reliability is important for Jamkrindo in delivering credit guarantee services while supporting broader access to financing for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Going forward, Jamkrindo will continue to strengthen its capabilities in preventing, detecting, responding to, and recovering from cyber threats.
The company will also continue to explore the use of AI to support more adaptive threat analysis while maintaining strong governance and alignment with business requirements.
Through continuous improvement, Jamkrindo aims to ensure that its digital resilience evolves in line with business transformation and changing service needs.
This achievement is aligned with Jamkrindo’s Transformasi Impact initiative, which encompasses Integration, Market, People, Analytics, Customer, and Technology, with a focus on delivering meaningful impact for both the company and society.
Jamkrindo’s digital resilience transformation reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening governance, enhancing service reliability, maintaining stakeholder trust, and supporting sustainable MSME growth.
