Jokowi said that the celebration of Mother's Day in Indonesia is very istinewa because the celebration is important for Indonesian women for the country and nation.

"Since Indonesian women work in Indonesian independence, Indonesian women should be more empowered, so I welcome the theme of this Mother's Day, Empowered Women, Indoensia Jaya," he said.

On this occasion, the President said the Working Cabinet has given large portions to women by placing nine female ministers.

"So in the Working Cabinet, now there are nine ministers of women and Indonesia is one of the countries in the world with the most women ministers," he said.
