INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Good news for Bekasi residents and surrounding areas that had to coincide in the Cikampek Toll because there are work on Bekasi-Karawang flyover project, and light rail construction (LRT) Bekasi-Jakarta. The toll road beside Kalimalang, according to Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono, will start operating by the end of September.

"At the end of September 2017 we will operate Becakayu Section 1 along 8.3 km (Cipinang - Jaka Sampurna), although not yet connected to Jalan Kasablanka.Now just to Pasar Gembrong - Cipinang," said Minister Basuki, Friday (28/7 / 2017). Becakayu referred to Basuki is the toll road of Bekasi - Cawang - Kampung Melayu.

Becakayu Toll Road has a total length of 21.04 km which consists of 2 sections, namely section 1 Casablanca - Cipinang - Jaka Sampurna 11 km and Section 2 Jaka Sampurna - Duren Jaya 10.04 km. Section 1 is targeted for completion in early 2018. The toll road investment cost is Rp 7.2 trillion.

Becakayu is one of 16 toll road segments targeted by the government to operate this year. The 16 new toll roads have a length of 352.33 kilometers (km) built by a business entity and 3 segments along the 39.65 km constructed by the PUPR Ministry.

From these segments, Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that he will operate 6 (six) toll roads in the next two months.

"In the near future we will operate 5 (five) new toll roads. The plans for August and September 2017 include: Medan-Binjai section 2 (6.18 km) and 3 (4.28 km), Palembang-Indralaya Section 1 (7.75 km), Kertosono-Mojokerto section 2 (20.15 Km, and 4 (0.9 km), Bawen-Salatiga (20.51 km), and Gempol Junction - Bangil (7.8 km), "PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said in a statement on Thursday (27/7). And the sixth segment is Becakayu.

The Gempol Junction - Bangil toll road section (7.8 km) will be connected to Bangil - Rembang toll road along 7.9 km which has been operated previously. So overall Gempol - Rembang 15.7 km toll road has been completed.
