INDUSTRY.co.id - Yogyakarta - The Serayu-Opak River Territory of Yogyakarta will officially begin the construction of Tanjung Adikarto Harbor in Kulon Progo in 2019.
"Tanjung Adikarto's development will use the 2019/2020 multi years budget," said Task Force (Plt) Head of Department of Marine and Fisheries (DKP) Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Suwarman Partosuwiryo in Yogyakarta, Sunday (7/1/2017)
According to Suwarman, physical development of Tanjung Adikarto Harbor in Coastal Village of Karangwuni, Wates, Kulon Progo especially for breakwater has been submitted to Balai Besar Serayu-Opak River Region (BBWSO). "Although it only began in 2019, in 2018 has begun the maintenance phase, such as the retrieval and preparation of` tetrapod` which is scattered, "he said.
He said that Tanjung Performa Harbor's physical works which had been started since 2004 were still stopped due to a design change, especially for the construction of the breakwater.
Overall, according to him, the construction of the port has reached 70 percent to be operated.
"The port has not been operated optimally since the break water has not been completed yet, while for the rest of the physical building the other port has been completed," he said.
Therefore, Suwarman said the development of the port to be projected into an integrated fisheries industry area in DIY will be focused on continuing the construction of the breakwater with a new design of "review" results in 2016.
He said the new design of the study results DKP DIY with about 26 experts recommend the extension of the construction of breakwater waves using materials "geotube" with a coated tetrapod weighing 20 tons.
To break the east side waves that have been realized 220 meters, will be extended to 390 meters, while for the west, which previously realized 225 meters will be extended to 350 meters.
"We have submitted the new study to BBWSO, but the BBWSO also has an old design result of the study of 2013. The possibility of the design will be combined because the installation of` geotube` is not easy for the waters in Indonesia, "he said.
