INDUSTRY.co.id - Madiun - Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto targets Light Rail Transit (LRT) procurement projects undertaken by PT Industri Kereta Api (Inka) (Persero) to be completed within 15 months.

"This is a fast target, within 15 months we expect PT Inka to be able to complete this national trust," Airlangga said during the MoU JR.

This was followed by the signing of a contract work contract of LRT procurement by PT Inka amounting to Rp3.9 trillion.

The contract is for 31 train stretches (train set) LRT Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Bekasi (Jabodebek).

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Inka Budi Noviantoro disclosed, the construction of LRT Jabodebek is one of the government's strategic projects in order to provide convenience and speed of transportation to the public.

For the work of LRT connecting Jakarta Bogor Depok Bekasi, PT INKA (Persero) has received financial support amounting to Rp 4.050 Trillion from 3 banking syndicates, namely PT BNI (Persero) Tbk, PT SMI (Persero) and PT Bank Sumitomo Mitsui Indonesia.

This LRT project is the second time, after previously PT INKA (Persero) is also believed to be a provider of LRT facilities in Palembang, South Sumetera as a mode of transportation supporters of Asian Games 2018.
