INDUSTRY.co.id - Madiun - PT Kereta Api (Inka) (Persero) has signed a contract of Light Rail Transit (LRT) procurement project of Rp3.9 trillion.

The contract is for 31 train stretches (train set) LRT Jakarta-Bogor-Depok-Bekasi (Jabodebek).

"For the procurement of LRT Jebodebek 31 train sets, maybe 4 train sets will run in March 2019, that's the first and will continue until 31 train sets," said President Director of PT Inka Budi Noviantoro during the MoU Jabodebek LRT Equipment Supply Procurement at Inka Office , Madiun, Thursday (18/1/2018).

He added, to design all of us (PT Inka) who do. "All of us are design, for the speed can be up to 100 km per hour, but the distance station is short2, so it usually 70 km per hour. If want to run long distance it could be 120," he explained.

Furthermore, Budi said, the level of Domestic component (TKDN) for LRT is still 45%. "In the future we are targeting 60% of its TKDN, but it should be gradual," Budi said.

According to Budi, LRT Jabodebek uses the latest and modern systems. Because later will use moving block, so automatic everything.

Later, Budi Continue, LRT Jabodebek will not use machinist, because the Head Way is only 1.5 minutes. So there should be no human error.

"Because if Head Way is smaller, its capacity is bigger. It's most modern for LRT class, Indonesia may use the latest class," Budi concluded.
