INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - For the construction of a light railway (LRT) of Jabodebek, four Extra High Voltage Air Channel (SUTET) points will be moved.

Director General of Railways at the Ministry of Transportation, Zulfikri, said that the SUTET will be moved, among others, located in Cawang and Toll Cikunir KM 9 and KM 14.

"It is relocated, there are those in Jasa Marga's land, the Ministry of PUPR, and there is also private land, if there is a replacement in private land," Zulkarnain said after the coordination meeting at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Monday (5 / 2/2018).

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Ministry of Transportation, Sugihardjo said, in addition to the relocation problem of SUTET, the coordination meeting also discussed the issue of land acquisition in East and Cibubur Bekasi for the construction of small railway infrastructure projects.

He said that the ownership of project-affected land will be ensured that land acquisition can be completed. Land acquisition in East Bekasi for depot construction will be accelerated. Some of the land in East Bekasi to be acquired belongs to PT Adhi Karya, which is a project contractor.

"The land that is already Adhi Karya's assets is still a controlling mechanism because it is used by the community We ask for assistance from BPN to carry out mediation and socialization," said Sugihardjo.

Sugihardjo added, land acquisition becomes a crucial problem requested by Coordinating Minister for the Environment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, immediately resolved. Land acquisition, especially in East Bekasi, should not be too late for the development target to be achieved. "The Coordinating Minister urges the project to be completed in May 2019," he said.

President Director Adhi Karya Budi Harto said the land acquisition process is targeted for completion in March. "Up to now, development progress has reached 32 percent," he said.

The Jabodebek LRT project is worth Rp29.9 trillion. The LRT is targeted to operate by 2019 with operations 140 times per day on weekdays and between an average of three to six minutes.

Residents who will use the LRT can ride from 17 LRT stations in Jabodebek. With an initial tariff set by the government of Rp12,000, the LRT is expected to encourage citizens to switch from private motor vehicles to public transport. (tar)
