INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Communication and Informatics Minister Rudiantara said the partnership between PT Astra International (Astra) and Go-Jek Indonesia (Go-Jek) will encourage the strengthening of Indonesia's economy.

"By continuing to improve cooperation, we will encourage economic strengthening in ASEAN and the world We are the leader," said Rudiantara, in his statement in Jakarta on Monday (12/2/2018)

Today Astra launched a capital investment cooperation for Go-Jek for 150 million US dollars or about Rp2 trillion.

Rudiantara assess the current business mindset already needs to shift toward the utilization of digital technology, because the development of digital technology faster and need to adjust.

It hopes the cooperation of the two companies will push the digital economy forward.

"With the cooperation of Astra and Go-Jek can be a lighter change in the revolution transition towards the digital economy," said Minister of Communication and Information.

President Director of Astra Prijono Sugiarto said that the capital investment injection to Go-Jek is aimed at improving the welfare of both companies and the people of Indonesia.

"We are excited to be part of Go-Jek's journey, Astra hopes that the collaboration with Go-Jek will add value to Astra's business and the nation's economy," Prijono said.

While the founder and CEO of Go-Jek Nadiem Makarim said the mission of presence and operation of Go-Jek and Astra is to promote Indonesia through community empowerment.
