INDUSTRY.co.id - The Association of Indonesian Industrial Zones (HKI) focuses on supporting infrastructure development with the development of industrial estates in Java and outside Java.
This was conveyed by HKI Chairman Sanny Iskandar on the sidelines of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) HKI opened by Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto in Surabaya.
"We expect support from the government to make it happen," said Sanny when contacted by media crew in Jakarta, Monday (31/7/2017)
According to Sanny, support in the form of infrastructure development in the form of power plants and the availability of competitive gas prices is expected by the developers of the industrial estate.
The development of an industrial estate in a region, he added, will automatically create an infrastructure capable of driving the local economy.
Thus, continued Sanny, economic equity and prosperity targeted by the government will be achieved.
Sanny added, some HKI members began working on the development of industrial estates outside Java.
"Menperin appreciate because some of our members started to build areas outside Java Island, one of them in Jorong, South Kalimantan," said Sanny.
Previously, Minister Airlangga conveyed, the prospect of industrial development in Indonesia is still promising as the demand for industrial land is increasing. To that end, industrial zones must be interconnected and integrated.
"Industrial area managers must synergize with the local government in solving various problems that arise," he explained.
