INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs again participated in Indonesia Weekend 2017, 22 -23 July in London which is a promotional event of culinary tourism, culinary, music, fashion and art of Indonesia.
The event was organized by the Proud Community of Indonesia and supported by the Indonesian Embassy in London as well as a number of Ministries / local governments such as the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Education and Culture.
The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs facilitates 10 Indonesian SMEs from the fashion and accessories sector, including M Joint Leather from DI Yogyakarta, Gee Batik from Yogyakarta, RBC from Garut West Java, Kravasia from Jakarta, Trans Ritelindo from Jakarta, Amin Sejati Perkasa Muda from East Java , Putra Kurnia Jewelery from NTB, Batik Kartini from Jakarta, MIRC from Jakarta, and Nailah Collection from Tasikmalaya West Java.

Trade data showed that fashion exports showed an increase of 8.15 percent with export value reaching 4.57 billion US dollars. Until May 2016, the value of Indonesian fashion exports reached 1.7 billion US dollars, with export destinations mainly to USA, Japan, Germany, South Korea, UK, Australia, Canada, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Belgium and China
At the opening of Indonesia Weekend 2017 located at the favorite tourist destination in London, Potters Field Park, Wayan Dipta, expressed pride and appreciation for the efforts of all parties who have worked hard to realize events promoting Indonesian SME products in UK and European markets in general.
It is expected that the event will not only attract visitors to buy a variety of Indonesian SME products that are amazing but also can respond to buyer demand and the UK market specifically.
While Assistant Deputy of Marketing of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Herustiati stated that the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs strongly supports the event of Indonesia Weekend 2017 for succeeding in promoting Indonesian SME products directly to end users or consumers.
In the event of pre-event Indonesia Weekend 2017 has held Business Networking held in cooperation between the Embassy of London and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. Through the event, SME entrepreneurs from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs have the opportunity to showcase their products and meet with a number of buyers in London. Some of the leading buyers who are invited to attend the event include Primark, Marks and Spencer, and so forth.
