INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Indonesia Hotel Group Network (HIG) formed by PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero) and PT Patra Jasa targets to manage 60 hotels throughout Indonesia by 2018.

Director of Patra Jasa Muhamad Haryo Yunianto as one of the founders of HIG in Jakarta, Tuesday (27/3/20180) said HIG currently manages 48 state-owned hotels.

"Our hope, the collaboration between us and HIN this year there are at least 60 hotels BUMN that we can manage," he said.

Haryo explained that HIG is a new entity formed between Patra Jasa and HIN. HIN's shareholding in HIG reached 51 percent while the rest belonged to Patra Jasa.

Because just started to grow, in the early stages, HIG will Invent rebranding (image) while doing the preparation of directors.

"This is so that 2018 we can 'kick off rebranding' and introduce HIG as a hotel chain of SOEs," he said.

Although no asset transfer in HIG formation, both companies work together in the form of supply chains, product and operational standardization to marketing and training.

"Hopefully we can be like an international hotel chain owned by the government," he said.

By having a new entity, HIG is expected to support the growing tourism industry. Moreover, state-owned hotel currently has reached about 100 hotels.

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) established a red-tape hotel chain under the banner of Hotel Indonesia Group (HIG) at the end of September 2016.
