INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Hotel Indonesia Group (HIG) will explore the management of private hotels throughout Indonesia despite its primary focus on managing state-owned hotels.

Director of Patra Jasa Muhamad Haryo Yunianto as one of the founders of HIG in Jakarta, Tuesday (27/3/2018) said that the assessment was conducted on a number of hotels, including private ones, in some cities.

"Not only do we have state-owned hotels that we manage, the local government of DKI Jakarta is also in the process of exploration, then there are several hotels in Padang and Semarang that we are exploring to manage," he said.

By entering the HIG network, the management of the hotel will be conducted under a new entity established between Patra Jasa and PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero) / HIN. HIN's shareholding in HIG reached 51 percent while the remaining 49 percent belonged to Patra Jasa.

Although no asset transfer in HIG formation both companies work together in the form of supply chains, product and oeprational standardization to marketing and training.

"HIG will get royalties from the services we provide, so the pattern is the same as Aston, InterContinental and others, but this is owned by SOEs," he said.

HIG currently manages 48 state-owned hotels and targets to manage up to 60 state-owned hotels by 2018.

The majority of HIG-managed hotels are located in Java and Bali and Sumatra and will continue to expand.
