INDUSTRY.co.id - Pacitan - The Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) is currently completing the construction of the South Coast Traffic Road (Pansela) Java, formerly known as the South Cross Road (JLS) to increase economic growth in South Java and reduce the gap with the North Coast of Java (Pantura) is more advanced.

Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono reveals the handling of Pansela Java road continues to improve security and comfort for the road users. The result was seen with the better conditions of the current proficiency level.

"Pansela Road in Pacitan is getting better with 2 lanes and 7 meters wide. The climb is also quite wide so comfortable to pass. This segment can be an alternative route for mudik, as well as a tourist route in Southern Java that is very prospective, "said Minister Basuki while reviewing the condition of Pansela road in Pacitan regency, East Java, Friday (30/3/2018).

One of the upgraded Pansela road segments is the 23.7 km Giriwoyo-Duwet segment under a multi-year contract 2015-2017 through the Regional Development of Development (RRDP) program funded by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) worth Rp 192 billion.

Work begins in October 2015 and has been completed by the end of 2017 at a cost of Rp 203 billion. Currently still under maintenance by contractor PT. Hutama Karya until December 2019.

Jalan Pansela Java has a length of 1,604 km stretching along the Southern Coast line from Banten Province, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta Special Region to East Java.

Grindulu Pacitan Bridge

During his visit, Minister Basuki also reviewed the Grindulu Bridge built since 2015 and has been completed in December 2017 or earlier than the original plan of 2018.

Grindulu Bridge stretches on South Beach Road (Pansela) between Ploso-Sirnoboyo, in Pacitan, East Java.

The existence of access road to the Port of Goods and Commerce in Kembang Village, Pacitan Sub-district will in turn support the economic growth of Pacitan in particular and the South of Java in general.

Pansela's good road conditions also support the development of tourist areas in Pacitan famous for its beaches and exotic caves, such as Soge Beach and Goa Gong. Although the road conditions have been smooth, but the prudence of the riders still needed.

Grindulu Bridge has a length of 750 meters and spent budget Rp 211 billion by contractor PT. Nindya Karya.
