INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Garuda Indonesia Airlines prepares 768 additional flights during peak season (Eid) back and forth Eid 2018.

President Director of Garuda Indonesia Pahala N Mansury said the additional capacity is carried out through the operation of the bigger aircraft and the 768 flight is equivalent to a total of 64,110 additional seats.

The 64,110 seats consist of an additional 43,610 seats of additional flight and an additional 20,500 seats of large-bodied aircraft operations.

Meanwhile, he continued, a subsidiary of Citilink prepared as many as 86,400 additional seats.

"The additional flight capacity consists of 768 additional flight frequencies of 480 Citilink flights and 288 Garuda Indonesia flights, an increase of 39 percent compared to last year's 107,750 seats," Pahala said.

Toward this season, he seeks to strengthen the timeliness of the flight (OTP) to 90 percent during the period 1-27 May 2018. Garuda Indonesia OTP achievement in May 2018 increased compared to 1-8 quarters of 2018 by 88 percent.

"Ahead of Garuda Indonesia's national airline 'peak season' operations is optimistic that the operational service of the flight during the peak season of Eid  will run smoothly, and one of the efforts is to anticipate the increase of OTP performance ahead of this peak season period," he said.

Pahala said that his office conducts intensive coordination with all airport service stakeholders in ensuring the smooth operation can continue to be conducive ahead of Eid 2018.

Furthermore, he has also prepared a 24-hour operational post that will support the smoothness of Garuda Indonesia flight service during Eid 2018 period.
